Aineck - Katschberg (Lungau)
Katschberg is a surprising ski area, it connects the Aineck and the Tschaneck, two mountains on either side of the Katschberghöhe. Via the A1 slope (6 km) from the Aineck mountain station, you can ski from a wide slope to Sankt Margarethen im Lungau.

The Grosseck Speiereck area is a medium sized ski area at five kilometers from Sankt Margarethen. You can quickly get to the area via the Tauernautobahn A10 while feeling like you are in a remote corner of Austria. With the large amount of blue and red slopes, it is an ideal family area. (5 minutes drive from Alpinn - 3km)

The Obertauern ski area is a snow-sure and popular area among winter sports enthusiasts. From November to May you can go here for beautiful short descents. The black slope under Gamsleiten 2 is very popular in Austria. In Obertauern you can even ski around the Obertauern (Tauernrunde). (20 minutes drive from Alpinn - 27km)

Fanningberg is a ski area consisting of only one mountain on which slopes wind down between the trees. The area is not very large, which makes it a good area for families. But also for experienced skiers there are a number of beautiful black descents. (15 minutes drive from Alpinn - 15km)
